Professional Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Reporting Services

This book is an abysmal disappointment. It does not explain concepts thoroughly in some instances, and in others it goes way too deep into the weeds when you're just trying to wrap your head around simple concepts.

My first big problem with this book is the examples used in the text are based off a database that you can't properly download. It's a specific version of the Advertureworks file that is used and when you go to the book site the file downloaded is not an mdf file and can't be created into a database.

I am new to reporting, and as a beginner, I found this book useful to learn it from scratch to new features in 2012. Being a novice I was mostly interested to learn report layout, formatting & designing.
